Bars in Bucktown, Chicago

Chicago's Bucktown neighborhood, on the city's North Side, derived its nickname from penchant early settlers in the area had for raising goats or bucks, as male goats were called. In the 1990s and early 2000s, young artists and other Bohemian types moved to the area, turning it into a less expensive version of nearby Wicker Park. Bucktown bars combine the down-to-earth charm of the area's origin with hip modern trends.
